Japanese is currently one of the hot foreign languages in Vietnam. The number of Japanese learners is growing exponentially. What is the reason for this special attraction?
The first reason for studying Japanese is job opportunities. Japan is the leading country in total ODA invested in Vietnam. The strong investment of Japanese enterprises in the past few years has made the demand for Japanese language skills increased significantly. Up to 54.7% of Japanese enterprises have difficulties in recruiting Vietnamese people who are good at Japanese and can harmonize Japanese working style. Therefore, if you know basic Japanese, then you have less worried that you will “be” standing in the ranks of unemployment. According to Laborers’ Report in December 2015, the number of unemployed bachelors and masters is 225,500, which is actually quite high as well as increasing trend. Is the main cause due to lack of employment? There is a cruel truth that work is never missing, just a lack of qualified people, skills and capabilities to meet the needs of businesses.
Think about it, if two students study the same industry, the same school and have the same graduation points, then a person with a foreign language who doesn’t know a foreign language will have the opportunity. Higher jobs? And likewise, if you are good at English and have an additional Japanese N5 degree, you will have many opportunities to enter Japanese companies, or companies with Japanese partners. The good news is that when Vietnam joined TPP (Trans-Pacific Economic Partnership Agreement), our country will be the first choice of Japanese enterprises in ASEAN. Learning Japanese is the key you have to hold the door to the future for yourself.
The next reason that we should consider learning Japanese is the opportunity to learn and interact with a new, extremely unique and impressive culture. Japan is a country with a long-standing culture with unique traditions and customs. Referring to Japan, people immediately think of majestic Mount Fuji, delicious Sake, attractive Sushi, traditional tea ceremony … Knowing Japanese, your Japanese travel will become easy. Easy and more interesting. You can talk to native speakers in their own language, visit everywhere, shop for everything you love without worrying about getting lost.
Learning Japanese well, you can humorously humor a J-Pop song that you have “enjoyed” for a long time but can’t sing correctly. And when anyone asks what the lyrics mean, it’s all small. You can freely read comics, watch Japanese cartoons without fear of misunderstanding the meaning. The story of “waiting for sub” will also become a thing of the past simply because you know Japanese.
The mistakes of those who learn Japanese are not paying attention to what level they are: average, good, or good. You go on studying and not follow a rule. You need to know what level you are at to choose the right material. It is also very important to learn any language. You need to set yourself a specific, clear and measurable goal. For example: reach level N5 within 3 months or reach level N3 within a year. Don’t make general goals like being good at Japanese in the shortest time.
If you learn Japanese like that, you will quickly “master” this language and access many valuable opportunities!
